I have learned that this industry works around trust. Honest information is harder to come by than stone, and each of our businesses thrive on the accuracy of information. Is a material still available? Is it known under another name? Is there something similar which will work in this application? Will it ship when you say it will? Will you be there when I need you? Trust in a supplier is as important as the size of their inventory . . .and trust in people is paramount.

I have tried to perform with integrity throughout my career, not to be a nice guy, but because it is a profitable strategy. People come back to me for product, because they trust me over time. And I try to tell the truth, even when it's not good news. Back when I started in this industry, I found information hard to come by. I still do. I learned through many mistakes, and I hope we can spare others the same. I feel if we would be more sharing with information in this industry, we would cultivate a tradition of trust and honesty that would benefit all of us. Maybe this web page helps a little.
