About Us Fabricator's Secret was formed by Steve Thoner and Chris Johnson in the summer of 2009. We did it to share our knowledge and experience, gained over decades. We wanted to offer fabricators an edge - really great tools they use every day, but at a cheap price. How did we get this experience? Well, Steve has two shops in Maine, and started buying tools in China several years ago for his own use. That business grew into a full blown Chinese trading company, with offices in Xiamen. Steve spends nearly half his time there, and has found the best sources for quality tools. Now, he's sharing that knowledge with you. Chris has been in this business for 25 years, and has been a resource for slabs to distributors and fabricators throughout North America. He is the agent for a number of overseas factories and collaborates with Steve on the Chinese materials. Together, we've formed Fabricator's Secret. (This is one secret it's OK to share - we won't mind!) Our distribution center is maintained in Trenton Industrial Park in the State of Maine. We also maintain inventory in Saint John, NB for our Canadian customers (Click Here). Orders placed by 3pm EST will ship that same day. We can ship to most places in the US or Canada within 2 to 3 business days.
